For the former, she was nominated for the BAFTA Film Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and, for the latter, she was nominated for the BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress. Her childhood roles included Sue in Worzel Gummidge (1979–1981) and the character Marmalade Atkins (1981–1984).
