Born in Lahore, he became a household name in the 1970s and 1980s, delivering iconic comedic and versatile performances in legendary PTV dramas like Sona Chandi, Samundar, and Waris. Equally successful on the silver screen, he won the prestigious Nigar Award for Best Comedian for his role in the 1988 film Bazar-e-Husn. Kashmiri remained dedicated to his craft until his passing from a heart attack in October 2024, leaving behind a rich legacy as one of Pakistan's finest entertainers.
