“As expected, my dream Airbnb is in Paris. The qualities that land an accommodation in ‘dream’ territory include: sunny, light-filled rooms, cozy interiors, walking distance to the Marais, and a great view (even better, if it has an elevator: Lugging a suitcase up slim Parisian stairs is not for the faint of heart!). This apartment checks all these boxes and then some—making it worth the sixth floor walkup.” –Kiana Murden, beauty shopping editor
Amenities: Balcony, washer/dryer, bathtub, pets allowed
“I come from a family that really values authenticity and craftsmanship in interior design, which can unfortunately be hard to come by these days. Last fall, my family and I visited Nantucket and stayed in an Airbnb that blew us all away. In true Nantucket fashion, the house was historic, sided with raw cedar shingles, and full of character—but it was also thoughtfully updated, in a way that preserved and honored its charm. With custom millwork, antique furniture, and classic nods to its nautical setting throughout, my whole family was so happy to be staying there.
The home also provided ample space for us all, and we were just a short walk from the center of town. We even raved about the mattresses and linens, which were by Matouk. I’ve since learned that the home was designed by New York-based interior designer Samuel Masters—I am a fan!” –Alex Ditch, associate commerce producer
Amenities: Beach access, washer/dryer, backyard, outdoor dining area
“It’s not an exaggeration to say I’ve been trying to book this tiny island home for years. It’s in hot demand: Located on the Cycladic island of Serifos, Faros Villa is the platonic ideal of rustic island style, and offers privacy with incredible views to boot. For any fellow aesthetically motivated travelers, there are tons of little moments to highlight—azure shutters, a bed built into the original stone foundation, lashes of blue paint over a wall so textured it almost looks like wallpaper. Then, there’s the terrace. It wraps around the house with unobstructed views of the Aegean below, for a serene way to start and end each day.” –Elly Leavitt, lifestyle shopping editor
Amenities: Ocean view, outdoor shower, air conditioning, patio
“I recently stayed at the dreamiest Airbnb nestled in Ipswich, Massachusetts, just a short drive from Crane Estate and Crane Beach. My sister decided to elope with only six of us there, and she picked this perfect barn house. It was perfect, warm, and romantic.
There’s something so special about being surrounded by orchards, with horses and goats roaming the property—it felt intimate, peaceful, and completely removed from everyday life. And with Crane Estate and the beach nearby, there’s plenty to explore, too. Movie lovers will recognize the area from Little Women, which filmed scenes on the Estate—a truly charming New England escape.” –Andrea Zendejas, shopping market editor
Amenities: Beach access, backyard, free parking, washer/dryer
“Mexico City is one of those bucket-list locations I can’t believe I haven’t made it to yet. I’ve never stayed in a gorgeous Airbnb before, so going all out in CDMX would be a treat. My trips are often a bit too action-packed, so factoring in some time to lounge in a beautiful home (between sightseeing and stuffing my face with the incredible local cuisine) might just do the trick to lower my constantly high cortisol levels.” –Concetta Ciarlo, beauty shopping writer
Amenities: Fireplace, washer/dryer, private sauna, free parking
“Despite being from Canada, I’ve strangely always felt called by the desert, so much so that I remember sitting in my bedroom as a teenager and planning out an itinerary spanning several western states across Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and California. I’ve especially always wanted to spend a few days in Joshua Tree. This beautiful pink (!) mid-century home would be the perfect place to lounge around, do some reading, and enjoy a negroni while the sun sets behind the surrounding mountains.” –Fred Sahai, associate commerce producer
Amenities: Darkening shades, board games, fireplace, backyard, outdoor dining area, BBQ grill
