Artist Philip Gefaell has unveiled the custom 18K gold Ash Charizard Ring to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Pokémon

Commissioned by a prominent Pokémon card collector the one-of-one high jewelry piece is set with natural VVS diamonds across 18K white and rose gold

The bespoke ring arrives alongside a custom-built presentation box featuring dedicated Pokémon motifs and Poké Ball references

Artist Philip Gefaell has unveiled the custom Ash Charizard Ring, a bespoke piece of high jewelry commissioned to celebrate 30 years of Pokémon. Created for one of the franchise’s leading card resellers and collectors, the custom ring transforms the bond between Ash Ketchum and Charizard into an intricate wearable sculpture.

The structure of the ring is crafted from 18K white gold featuring a soft sunblasted matte finish, establishing an industrial, futuristic texture. Sculpted in highly polished 18K rose gold, Charizard wraps around a central “A” emblem—referencing Ash Ketchum—appearing to break out from the architectural frame of the piece. The body of the ring is set with natural VVS diamonds and features a digitized, slightly distressed geometric pattern that continues the visual language Gefaell developed for a previous Poké Ball Pendant commission.

Completing the project, Gefaell created a custom presentation box designed specifically as an extension of the artwork. Built using a specialized Pokémon-inspired design language, the packaging incorporates Charizard motifs and a Poké Ball reference to turn the unboxing moment into an integral part of the experience.
