Dua Lipa Is Living a Charmed Life—With a Bag to Match

Ever since she got back from her extravagant Italian wedding, Dua Lipa has been going back to the basics.

Spotted in New York, the singer wore a black monogrammed Courrèges tank top beneath a black linen button-up, a pair of low-slung blue jeans, and black pointy-toe boots. But, as with her recent looks, the accessories do the heavy lifting. This time, she added a pair of thick Jacques Marie Mage frames and a green pendant necklace.

But the real star of the show was Lipa’s well-decorated Birkin. Taking cues from Jane herself, the singer embellished her black Hermès bag with a bevy of bag charms. Lipa has since ditched her Labubus in favor of a more timeless look, ornamenting her purse with a printed silk Twilly scarf, a tasseled charm, and a beaded bracelet among them.

The bag is a reflection of the singer’s recent style philosophy: pared down, but always accessorized to a T. For her first post-honeymoon jaunt to Electric Lady Studios, the newlywed singer stuck to bridal whites in a tank top and cropped trousers, worn with heaps of gold jewelry. Days later, she returned to the booth in a white long-sleeve and denim cut-offs, styled with a bro-y backwards cap and dainty Chanel flats. Take heed from Dua Lipa: if you’re ever in a fashion rut, stick to the basics and accessorize, accessorize, accessorize.
