The always-on-the-go singer hit JFK airport carrying a Chanel basket bag large enough to fit a summer wardrobe.
Leave it to Dua Lipa to reclaim the ludicrously capacious bag, La Vacanza style. The newly married superstar was spotted on the move—again—at New York’s JFK International Airport on Thursday, and instead of lugging the typical carry-on, she opted for a gargantuan Chanel basket bag, large enough to fit everything one might need for a long weekend.
Anchored by the XL accessory, Lipa’s look was giving French Riviera vibes (perhaps her next destination?) from the mariner-striped quarter-zip sweater to the simple black boots. She rounded out the look with relaxed, straight-leg jeans, sunglasses, simple hoop earrings, and every It girl’s go-to: wired headphones. First presented as part of Chanel’s cruise 2027 collection, the tote was by far the biggest statement piece, with a raffia construction that exudes vacation ease and bold, black interlocking Cs embellishing the side.
Presented in Biarritz, Chanel’s cruise 2027 collection paid homage to the brand’s seaside legacy through French Riviera aesthetics and Coco Chanel-inspired beachwear. All things considered, it’s the perfect collection for Lipa, who is widely considered the undisputed queen of vacation dressing. While she’s known for her Euro summer photo dumps, the singer has been busy in New York this season. From riding Citi Bikes across the Brooklyn Bridge to frequenting Greenwich Village’s Electric Lady Studios to record new music, the musician has been commuting around the city all season long.
At the start of August, she was spotted at the New York City premiere of One Night Only, the new romantic comedy starring her husband Callum Turner. Prior to that, she was photographed at the World Cup Finals in New Jersey (with a different large Chanel purse in tow). It’s fair to say that this summer, Dua Lipa has been very much on the go. Luckily, she has just the bag for the occasion.
