Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi were snapped out for dinner in London in outfits that will be familiar to any style-conscious Londoner.
When you’re a world famous couple, simply stepping out for dinner can be a high stakes affair, but Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi, it seems, don’t always feel compelled to deliver highly polished formal fashion. Since the pair were spotted together at Coachella back in the spring, they’ve taken a more laid-back approach to celebrity couple style, skipping the red carpets to instead hard-launch their relationship by posing for fan photos while on holiday in Japan, before being spotted boarding a plane for Australia—a chance to introduce Kendall to the rest of the Elordi clan.
In London this week, the couple were joined by Jacob’s father for a midweek meal at celebrity favorite Italian spot Cipriani, and their Wednesday wardrobes were characteristically understated. Staying true to her taste for elevated basics and quiet luxury, it was a textbook Kendall Jenner fit: the model paired her Chanel Maxi Rabat bag with a cerulean shirt, thrown over a tank top and tailored trousers. She also wore a pair of Thistles shades—a brand beloved by pal Bella Hadid, Alexa Chung, et al. Despite her penchant for a naked Met Gala look, Kendall is easily the most restrained of the Kardashian-Jenner clan when it comes to getting dressed, often opting for The Row instead of a bedazzled bra top or latex dress.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, given his Aussie upbringing, Jacob is also adept at laidback London style. The actor took a leaf out of the book of every inhabitant of East London, pairing a bomber jacket with a grown-out mullet and a post-holiday glow. His mustache is also firmly back.
As both Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi demonstrate, there comes a point in any relationship when you slowly start to merge into the same person, mentally, spiritually, and aesthetically. While for the average style-conscious couple this might extend to borrowing one another’s Uniqlo tees and J.Crew hoodies, these two are busy compiling a shared wardrobe of The Row, Chanel, Hermès, and Bottega.
