LEGO Recreates the Ministry of Magic as a 3,491-Piece, Multi-Level ‘Harry Potter’ Collectors’ Set

The LEGO Group has revealed the LEGO Harry Potter The Ministry of Magic Collectors’ Edition, a 3,491-piece set built to mark 25 years since the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The minifigure-scale model renders a cross-section of magical London as an involved build aimed at adult collectors.

The set is structured as a vertical journey through the wizarding world’s London headquarters. The build opens at street level, where a detailed scene includes a subway station and the franchise’s recognizable red telephone box, establishing the entrance to the Ministry hidden below. From there, the model descends through the government complex itself, opening up interior spaces to explore.

Those lower levels are where the interactive detailing concentrates. Builders can access Arthur Weasley and Dolores Umbridge’s offices and the courtroom where Harry stands trial, with the press materials pointing to numerous Easter eggs worked into the layout. One level further down sits the Hall of Prophecy, which brings in functional play features including collapsing shelves to stage its signature scene.

Character content is a core part of the appeal. The set ships with 14 minifigures, among them Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and Lord Voldemort, plus the first-ever minifigure depiction of Arabella Figg. Rounding out the roster is a brand-new element in Kingsley Shacklebolt’s Lynx Patronus, the magical guardian that carried messages between the Ministry and the Order of the Phoenix.

As a finished piece, the model is scaled for display as much as for building. It stands over 20 inches tall, measures 13.5 inches wide and 6 inches deep, and carries an 18+ age designation, positioning it firmly within LEGO‘s collector-facing tier. The timing reinforces that intent: the release is set to coincide with Back to Hogwarts Day, folding the anniversary celebration into a date already meaningful to the fanbase.

The LEGO Harry Potter The Ministry of Magic Collectors’ Edition (76476) will be available through LEGO Insiders Early Access from August 29, then to all buyers from September 1 online and via LEGO Stores.
