New Paramount+ Promo Is Essentially a Two-Month Free Trial

Through June 25, Paramount+ is offering any of its monthly plans for just $0.99 per month for the first two months, a savings of 93 percent. The limited-time offer comes just ahead of The Agency‘s season two Paramount+ premiere on June 21, and hit BBC thriller Wild Cherry‘s Paramount+ debut on June 24.

And if this almost-free trial isn’t free trial-y enough, there is a little-known way to get Paramount+ for free through partner subscription DirecTV — more on this (and all other Paramount+ promotions) below.

Timed to Amazon Prime Day, Paramount+ is offering either of its monthly plans — Paramount+ Premium and Paramount+ Essential — for $0.99 per month for the first two months. For Paramount+ Premium, regularly $13.99 per month, this comes out to a savings of 93 percent. For Paramount+ Essential, regularly $8.99 per month, this comes out to a savings of 89 percent.

Following this two month period, the subscription auto-renews at its then-current full price, unless cancelled at any time. This limited-time promo runs through Thursday, June 25.

While Paramount+ no longer offers a free trial directly through its site, there is a little-known workaround through partner subscription DirecTV. Customers who sign up for one of the streaming service’s Entertainment, Choice or Ultimate packages can get three months of Paramount+ Premium, HBO Max, STARZ, Cinemax and MGM+ included at no cost ($175 value). Plus, DirecTV offers a five-day free trial for any of its plans, meaning new members can stream Paramount+ at absolutely no cost during the trial period.

To claim the offer, select your preferred signature package, then opt to add Paramount+ where it instructs you to pick your add-ons. As indicated, you’ll automatically get three months of the service included in your subscription. After three months, unless cancelled at any time, DirecTV’s premium add-ons will renew monthly at the then-prevailing rate.

Moving along to the second option, deal-savvy streamers can also enjoy free Paramount+ access through a Walmart+ membership, which includes the choice of Paramount+ Essential or Peacock Premium in its subscription. Paramount+ Essential is the streamer’s ad-supported base package, regularly $8.99 per month or $89.99 annually. It includes 40,000+ episodes and movies, NFL on CBS and UEFA Champions League live, access to select Showtime series and the ability to stream on three devices at once.

Paramount+ Premium (formerly known as Paramount+ with Showtime) is regularly $13.99 per month or $139.99 per year and offers everything in the essential plan without ads (except for live TV), plus access to all of Showtime, the ability to stream CBS live with more sports and events, the option to download movies and shows and the ability to watch in 4K Ultra HD, Dolby Vision or HDR10.
