Nike’s Spotted Tennis Sneakers Literally Have That Dawg in ‘Em

Nike's Tennis Classic get a paw-fect makeover for the newest "Chew Dog" collection, resulting a furry Dalmatian-inspired take on the model.

The Story

Nike's Tennis Classic sneaker has officially gone off the leash with its new "Chew Dog" release.

It's a canine-themed take on the classic court sneaker. Think fur-covered uppers and embroidered paws on the heels. Oh, and Nike even gave the shoes their own "doggy tags," a.k.a. tongue tags, which read "Hi My Name is…If lost, please call…"

Nike has assembled a pack of these dog-inspired Tennis Classic sneakers, including a pair with white hair and black spots inspired by Dalmatians.

Someone get Cruella de Vil on the phone ASAP.

Nike has maintained the Tennis Classic's minimalist design for the most part. However, it has been having some fun with the model lately. It has designed scuffed-up, skateable versions with Rassvet. The sportswear giant also dropped some luxurious reptilian-skinned pairs earlier this year.

Nike returns to the animal theme with the newest Tennis Classics, which undoubtedly have "that dog in them," as the kids might say.

Speaking of which, the Dalmatian-style Tennis Classic "Chew Dog" sneakers are now available on Sneakersnstuff's website for $125. Expect the furry black steppers to follow soon.
