
The Disney+ series based on Rick Riordan's novels will debut in November.
Percy Jackson’s next quest will begin in the fall.
Disney+ announced a Nov. 20 premiere date for season three of Percy Jackson and the Olympians during the show’s Comic-Con session Thursday, which featured castmembers Walker Scobell (Percy), Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood), Charlie Bushell (Luke Castellan), Tamara Smart (Thalia Grace), Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie (Nico and Bianca di Angelo, new to the show in season three) and executive producers Craig Silverstein and Dan Shotz. Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), who’s currently filming a Cheetah Girls update for Disney, sent a video message for the panel.
Along with the date announcement, Disney+ also released a brief teaser for the coming season. Watch it below.
Season three of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is based on The Titan’s Curse, the third book in author Rick Riordan’s original Percy Jackson quintet (since augmented by two more novels) about the young demigod. In addition to fan-favorite charcaters Nico and Bianca, the season will also intorduce the goddess Artemis (Dafne Keen) and her lieutenant Zoë Nightshade (Saara Chaudry).
Dior Goodjohn (Clarisse La Rue), Daniel Diemer (Tyson), Glynn Turman (Chiron), Courtney B. Vance (Zeus), Jason Mantzoukas (Dionysus), Beatrice Kitsos (Allison Simms) and Kevin Chacon (Chris Rodriguez) are all set to reprise their roles in season three. The guest cast also includes Jesse L. Martin as Frederick Chase, Holt McCallany as Atlas, David Costabile as Dr. Thorn, Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite, Ming-Na Wen as Hera, Jennifer Beals as Demeter and Hubert Smielecki as Apollo.
Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg created Percy Jackson and the Olympians. They executive produce season three with Shotz, Silverstein, Rebecca Riordan, The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Jeremy Bell, Bert Salke, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Sarah Watson and Tamara Becher-Wilkinson. Jet Wilkinson is an EP on the last two episodes of the season.
