Quality Control Co-Founder Pierre ‘P’ Thomas ‘Alive and Currently Hospitalized’ After Heart Attack

The music executive, whose roster includes Lil Baby, Quavo, and JT, is reportedly being monitored in the ICU

The Story

Pierre “P” Thomas, co-founder and CEO of the hip-hop record label Quality Control Music, has been hospitalized following a heart attack. The music executive, whose roster includes artists like Lil Baby, Quavo, and JT, is currently receiving medical care, representatives for the label shared on social media.

“We want to clarify that Pierre ‘P’ Thomas is alive and currently hospitalized receiving medical care,” the statement says. “We ask that everyone keep P and his family in their thoughts and prayers and respectfully give them the privacy and space they need during this time. We deeply appreciate everyone’s concern, support, prayers, and loving energy right now.”

The statement comes after conflicting comments across social media suggested Thomas had died. Variety reports the CEO is under care at a hospital in Las Vegas, where he’s being held in the ICU. Thomas oversees Quality Control alongside Kevin “Coach K” Lee. Yung Miami, Offset, and Stefflon Don are among the label’s former signees.

In 2023, South Korean music company HYBE acquired Quality Control in a deal reportedly worth approximately $300 million. “P and I are ecstatic about this partnership with Scooter and HYBE and are confident they can get us to our global ambitions we’ve had in our scope since the beginning of the company as nothing means more than our artists impacting worldwide,” Lee said at the time. Earlier this week, Thomas and Lee were named R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players by Billboard.
