While Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are usually on the same sartorial page, the couple took wildly disparate approaches to heatwave style over the weekend. Yesterday, the pair braved New York’s sweltering temps for a joyride in a red-hot Ferrari. But where Rih dressed for the holiday weekend, Rocky kept things business as usual.

The singer and Fenty mogul kept things breezy in a loose-fitting blue-and-white striped maxi dress. But this is Rihanna we’re talking about—there’s always going to be a touch of glamour, even in the lowest-maintenance looks. In this case, the billowing maxi dress was zhuzhed up with a plunging keyhole and a sculptural gold accent at her collarbone. She didn’t stop there: she accessorized with a red Schiaparelli face bag and a heap of gold jewelry—most notably a lobster claw affixed to her helix.
Rocky, meanwhile, braved the sultry weather in layers(!). The rapper wore a charcoal gray tee over a white long-sleeve, which he paired with baggy black pants and Timberland boots. And, like any good Ferrari driver, he added a pair of heavy-duty Watson gloves.
Still, regardless of their differing takes on summer-in-the-city dressing, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are certainly riding in style.
