Rowing Blazers, Wind Vintage and Seiko Revive a Cult-Favorite Rally Diver With a Two-Tone Twist

Rowing Blazers and vintage watch expert Eric Wind of Wind Vintage have teamed with Seiko for a fourth collaboration, expanding the Rally Diver into two new references

Both watches are powered by the automatic caliber 4R36 with 24 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour and approximately 41 hours of power reserve

Each reference ships with a steel bracelet and a nylon strap, a Rowing Blazers monogram crown, and a caseback featuring the brand's "Bath Club" motif

Rowing Blazers, Wind Vintage and Seiko have released a new two-piece capsule built around the Seiko 5 Sports Rally Diver, arriving in a racing green 38mm and a bright blue 42mm configuration. The fourth collaboration between the three partners, the collection marks a direct expansion of the original 2021 Rally Diver, this time splitting the design across two distinct sizes and dial colorways, each limited to 2,500 numbered pieces.

Under the hood, both references run on the automatic caliber 4R36, a 24-jewel movement operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour with approximately 41 hours of power reserve. The cases and bracelets are stainless steel, with a 20mm lug width and a uni-directional bezel on each reference. Luminous hands and markers are rendered in a warmer vintage tone, and both watches carry day and date calendars with days switchable between English and Spanish.

The two references split along size and color. The 38mm reference features a racing green dial paired with an additional blue nylon strap, while the 42mm opts for a bright blue dial with an additional green strap. Shared details across both include a crown engraved with the Rowing Blazers monogram and a new caseback carrying the brand’s faucet “Bath Club” motif alongside the Wind Vintage name. Each watch ships in a special edition presentation box.

The design brief was shaped in part by Eric Wind’s personal history with the reference. Wind, who purchased his first vintage Seiko 5 Sports Rally Diver in 1969 as his entry point into vintage watches, described the original 2021 Rowing Blazers x Seiko Rally Diver as a tribute to that piece. “The Rally Diver from our first Rowing Blazers x Seiko collaboration in 2021 was a tribute to my original Rally Diver and remains one of the most desirable Seiko 5 Sports watches ever made,” Wind said. “It is an honor to design and release the next chapter of this iconic collaboration.”

The Rowing Blazers x Wind Vintage x Seiko 5 Sports capsule drops July 9 via the Rowing Blazers and Seiko USA websites, with a limited selection also available in person at the Rowing Blazers flagship in New York City. Both references retail for $495 USD.
