The Best Dressed Stars of the Week Embraced Airy Opulence

From Sarah Pidgeon’s full-skirted Chanel to Zendaya’s lacy Louis Vuitton: these summery looks were ethereal and light—but still turned heads on the red carpet.

The Story

There was no shortage of celebrity red carpet looks to take in this week—between the fall 2026 couture shows in Paris, and the global press tour for The Odyssey, which features a stacked cast including Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Samantha Morton, and Charlize Theron, plus all their fashions. The best dressed stars of the week? It was the A-listers who leaned into summery style, choosing easy, airy looks that were still very much opulent and glamorous.

Take Sarah Pidgeon at the Chanel couture show in Paris: The Love Story star sat in the front row wearing a perfect heatwave-ready frock, which featured a scarf-like top and drop-waist skirt. At Dior, Priyanka Chopra Jonas wore a sprightly tangerine dress by the house, covered in petal-like embellishments. Anya Taylor-Joy, meanwhile, also delivered a sleek look in the City of Light—hers a satin-y slip dress from Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann, complete with black lace detailing.

This week was not complete without the aforementioned cast of The Odyssey and a suite of style serves to bust down the gates of Mount Olympus. There was Zendaya in her ethereal white Louis Vuitton design, and Lupita Nyong’o in her beaded Armani Privé number. But stealing the spotlight was Anne Hathaway, who delivered a striking maternity moment in her beautiful sheer-and-beaded Prada column gown.
