The Story

Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that he is battling prostate cancer. The Top Gear legend opened up about his diagnosis during the final episodes of Clarkson’s Farm Season 5.

In the Prime Video series, Clarkson tells Charlie Ireland and Kaleb Cooper, “I’ve got cancer.”

“No, you haven’t. Where?” Cooper asks, with Clarkson replying, “Where it is is of no concern of anybody. I’ve known since May.”

Clarkson said that he had “disappeared off the other week,” to go to the doctor and “had a biopsy,” noting that he was diagnosed with an “aggressive” cancer, but added that it was “really early.”

“I was praying we could get the harvest done, and then I could go and get some treatment, but it’s going to be slap bang in the middle,” he added.

Clarkson received support from his friends, adding, “I’m not daft, it’s going to be in about two weeks, maybe three. I’ll have to go and have an operation, and then, the operation is in and out in no time, but your body’s out of action for a little while.”

After getting some treatments to treat the cancer, Clarkson said that he would get “blood tests and then we’ll know.” The TV host was then seen at the hospital, noting that he “started Season 5 with me in a hospital bed and we are at the end of Season 5 and I’m back in a hospital bed.”

Clarkson added that “some of the treatment” had “gone awry,” adding, “What I wanted to say was if this is all successful, I’ll see you for Season 6, and if it isn’t, I won’t.”

Season 5 ends with Clarkson saying, “Take care, everyone.”

Prior to the premiere of Clarkson’s Farm final Season 5 episodes on Prime Video, the television personality took to Instagram to share “somber news” with viewers, saying the episodes are “a difficult watch. “They’re really, really difficult.”
