Watch Charli XCX Let Loose in Video for New Song “Wink Wink”

It’s the pop star’s third preview of Music, Fashion, Film

The Story

With an hour’s notice and a bat of her eyelashes, Charli XCX ushered in her third single from Music, Fashion, Film: “Wink Wink.” The new song gets a music video directed by Aidan Zamiri, in which the pop star swears she’s “not a bad girl anymore” while eating strawberries in a field, washing window panes, sneaking onto a roof, and letting loose by herself. Check it out below.

“Wink Wink” arrives after the headline-baiting single “Rock Music” and the more traditionally pop-indebted song “SS26.” (No, their accompanying “b-sides” aren’t part of the album’s tracklist.) Charli XCX previously denied that Music, Fashion, Film is a rock album, but it does seem like she got plenty of inspiration beyond the dance floor — or at least in terms of who she rang up to pose for its cover: John Cale, fashion designer Marc Jacobs, and director Martin Scorsese.

Music, Fashion, Film is out July 24 via Atlantic. It’s her second full-length album of 2026 and the official follow-up to Brat, seeing as Wuthering Heights was a companion album soundtracking Emerald Fennell’s film adaptation of the titular novel. Charli XCX has a short arena tour planned to celebrate her upcoming album’s release as well as a number of headlining sets at music festivals like Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Austin City Limits.
