Paris Saint-Germain has officially completed the signing of World Cup winner Ferran Torres from FC Barcelona. The deal brings the 26-year-old Spanish forward to the reigning European champions for a total package of around €50 million EUR ($57.84 million USD).

The move sees Torres reunite with PSG head coach Luis Enrique, who previously managed the forward during his tenure with the Spanish national team. Torres requested the exit from Barcelona with one year remaining on his contract, following a campaign where he scored 21 goals in 49 appearances. Over his time at Camp Nou, the former Manchester City player secured seven trophies, including three LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey, and three Spanish Super Cups.

PSG pursued the versatile attacker to bolster their frontline options after the departure of Gonçalo Ramos to AC Milan and Randal Kolo Muani’s permanent transfer to Juventus. Capable of playing across the front line and primarily utilized as a central striker over the past two seasons, Torres joins the club directly following his winning goal performance in extra time against Argentina in the World Cup final.
