New Balance cooks up a delicious brown 991v2 Made in England sneaker. But here's the catch: it's only available in Japan.
New Balance cooked up an "Made in England" dad shoe that's only for Japan? Precisely.
The newest 991v2 sneaker marries a top-notch UK-made construction with a tasteful Japan-exclusive colorway, resulting in an unexpectedly delicious take on the model.
It features luxe suede and mesh uppers and the signature chunky FuelCell-infused soles, all bathed in this rich dark brown colorway. I honestly don't know whether to call it the perfect chocolate sneaker or a coffee-flavored dad shoe that's been brewed to perfection.
New Balance has designed other tasty 991 sneakers this year, including chocolate leather pairs and even "Shitake" shoes. And of course, the creamy "Chipmunk" versions were the nuttiest of them all.
But of all the mouthwatering 991s, this new deep brown pair is the most exclusive snack of the bunch. You won't catch these just anywhere.
Again, New Balance is only releasing them in Japan, at stores like atmos Tokyo and Mita Sneakers. The shoes are set to launch starting on August 13 for¥39,600, which is around $250.
