The Story

Name: ASICS x EMPTY BEHAVIOR HYPERSYNC Colorway: Black/Pink, White/Silver SKU: 1203B146.001,1203B146.100 MSRP: $135 USD Release Date: June 27 Where to buy: ASICS

Experimental footwear brand Empty Behavior has collaborated with ASICS for a unique reimagining of the Hypersync sneakers, bringing the label’s industrial, avant-garde yet feminine aesthetics to the everyday silhouette.

The collaboration introduces two distinct colorways: a moody “Black” accented by soft, contrasting pink hits, alongside a clean “White/Silver” variant. Built from a tactical blend of synthetic leather overlays and open-weave air mesh underlays, the sleek upper embraces functional minimalism while offering a unique, texture-heavy finish.

The defining visual hallmark of this partnership is the subversive transformation of ASICS’ iconic cross-lines. The traditional side tiger stripes are playfully re-coded into elegant, feminine ruffled fabric overlays, subverting the shoe’s rugged athletic roots with a delicate, textured frill element.

This design is paired with a heavily padded tongue for contrast, while co-branding is strategically applied across the layout, featuring the “Empty Behavior” logo stamped neatly onto the heel and both partners’ insignia gracing the toe box. Underfoot, the Hypersync strips away traditional bulky cushioning in favor of a hyper-thin, barefoot-style rubber sole unit. The Empty Behavior x ASICS Hypersync will launch in China and Hong Kong on June 27, followed by a global release on July 2, 2026.
