A$AP Rocky Put Vibram Tires on His All-New PUMA Ride

A$AP Rocky and PUMA hit the gas on their collaboration, releasing an all-new model called the Straycat.

It's such a fitting name considering the Straycat is a departure from the partnership's previous releases, which were mostly archival remakes. The Straycat is something fresh that still fits into the collab's motorsports-slash-streetwear-y universe.

I'll tell ya one thing: it's certainly Rocky's toughest PUMA sneaker yet. It features layers of sturdy ripstop nylon, classic leather, and suede for the upper. And the shoe is complete with chunky Vibram soles, which extend its durability and grip past the midsole. It essentially makes the shoe look like it has its own tires.

Again, it's all very appropriate, considering Rocky is PUMA's creative director for its F1 partnership and general motorsports business as of 2023.

The all-new ride does keep up some traditions. Specifically, it appears with some dirtied-up details and double lacing, as seen on past Rocky x PUMA sneakers.

And good news for those looking to cop: Rocky's PUMA Straycat sneaker is scheduled to release at select stores like Asphaltgold and SVD, starting on August 27.

And there's more to come in 2027. Rocky previewed another Straycat colorway during his Don't Be Dumb tour, alongside more PUMA Suede sneakers. They'll all drop during the warmer seasons.
