The Hollywood Reporter Lands 2026 Daytime Emmy Nomination

This is the third consecutive nomination for the 'Off Script' roundtable series, which has received a total of six nods over the past nine years.

The Story

The Hollywood Reporter has landed another Daytime Emmy nomination for its roundtable series, Off Script With The Hollywood Reporter.

Off Script was nominated in the arts and popular culture program category, marking the third consecutive nod for the awards-season showcase. In total, the series has garnered six Daytime Emmy nominations since 2017.

The news was shared Tuesday by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences along with the full list of nominations for the 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

Off Script is the magazine’s iconic roundtable series, which has aired on IFC, streaming on AMC+, over the past three years. The series consists of five episodes of Emmy contenders: drama actress, drama actor, comedy actress, comedy actor and stand-up.

Talent on last year’s roster included Seth Rogen, Parker Posey, Helen Mirren, Keri Russell, Kristen Bell, Michelle Williams, Ted Danson, Walton Goggins, Jamie Foxx, Adam Scott, Seth Meyers, Niecy Nash-Betts, Diego Luna and many others.

Moderated by THR’s Lacey Rose and Mikey O’Connell, the series is known for its sharp, unfiltered roundtable format, delivering honest, insightful and often hilarious conversations about the craft and chaos of working in television. But what truly sets Off Script apart is its unmatched ability to curate a who’s who of Hollywood who rarely, if ever, share the same stage.

But the roundtable series is not just limited to Emmys season: For the Oscar season roundtables, categories covered include director, actor, actress, songwriter and producer. THR‘s Scott Feinberg, Beatrice Verhoeven, Ethan Millman, Seija Rankin and Mia Galuppo moderated 2025’s Oscar season roundtable episodes. THR also has expanded its roundtable series to include podcasters and Broadway actors.

The nominated season of Off Script With The Hollywood Reporter was executive produced by Jason Rovou, vp video production and development of THR; THR editor-in-chief Maer Roshan; former co-editor-in-chief Shirley Halperin; and Elisabeth D. Rabishaw. Postproduction was done by Framework LA.

Other nominees in the Daytime Emmys’ arts and popular culture program category this year are Beyond the Gates: Welcome to the Neighborhood: An Entertainment Tonight Special (CBS Media Ventures), Variety & CNN Actors on Actors (CNN Digital | Variety), Variety Studio: Actors on Actors (PBS) and Working in the Theatre (AmericanTheatreWing.org).

THR has received six Daytime Emmy nominations prior to this, four for the roundtable series. In 2024 and 2025, THR earned a nom in the same category. In 2024, the publication also earned a nomination forbest shortform program with Hollywood Atelier: Rob Pickens, produced by Rovou. Off Script, previously titled Close Up With The Hollywood Reporter, was nominated for three Daytime Emmys in 2021, 2019 and 2017.

THR also previously won a Los Angeles area Emmy for its roundtable discussion The Hollywood Reporter in Focus: The Wolf of Wall Street, which aired on PBS SoCal.

The Daytime Emmy nom follows on the heels of The Hollywood Reporter’s big showing at the Southern California Journalism Awards, where the brand won 20 first-place awards, more than any other outlet. THR also received the Webby People’s Voice Award for best entertainment-themed website earlier this year, in addition to an American Society of Magazine Editors award for best cover. In 2025, THR earned 13 first-place wins at the National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards.

THR is a flagship entertainment media brand, offering in-depth reporting, analysis and thought-provoking reviews; unparalleled access, world-class photography and video; and feature exclusives in its award-winning weekly magazine and dynamic website. THR also boasts prestigious live events, industry-leading philanthropic, empowerment and diversity initiatives and hugely successful video series including Off Script.
